• Extension Storage Data: User preferences such as location (city name/lat-long), language selection, and API endpoint configuration saved in standard local browser sync storage (chrome.storage.sync).
• Anonymous Usage Data: Minimal device & diagnostic logs to monitor server health and API response performance.
• No Sensitive Personal Data Tracking: We do not track your browsing history, web activity, or personal identifiers across non-astrological websites.

3. Chrome Extension Permissions

Our Chrome Web Store Extension requires specific browser permissions solely to fulfill its core functionality:

• storage: Used to save your selected city, preferred chart style, and local astronomical settings across browser restarts.
• host_permissions (e.g., https://api.astronaksh.in/*): Required to fetch real-time planetary ephemeris, daily Tithi, Rahukalam windows, and moon phase data from our secure backend API.
• alarms: Used to trigger periodic background updates for the extension's moon phase badge icon.

4. How We Use Your Information

Collected data is used strictly for the following purposes:

• To calculate accurate Vedic astronomical coordinates, Nakshatra transits, and daily Panchanga timings.
• To render your Janma Kundli chart and Dasha timeline in real-time.
• To deliver relevant daily Rashifal and moon phase notifications inside the extension or app.
• To process transactions or subscriptions securely via official billing channels (e.g., Google Play Billing).

5. Data Storage, Security & Encryption

All data transmitted between the Astro Naksh browser extension or app and our backend servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS/SSL (HTTPS) protocols. Data is hosted securely on cloud infrastructure with restricted access controls.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or birth information to third parties or advertising networks.

6. Third-Party Services

Astro Naksh utilizes trusted infrastructure providers to deliver services:

• Railway Cloud Infrastructure: Backend API server hosting and secure ephemeris processing.
• Google Play Billing / Chrome Web Store Services: Standard payment and extension distribution infrastructure.

7. Children's Privacy

Astro Naksh is intended for a general audience aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

8. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have full control over your data at all times:

• Clear Extension Data: You can clear all saved settings at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension data via Chrome Settings (chrome://extensions).
• Request Account / Data Deletion: You can request complete deletion of any server-side birth records or profiles by emailing our support team. All user data is purged within 30 days of request.
